  • Chicken wings (2 pounds)
  • 1 cup water
  • Half teaspoon of each: coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli flakes, and garlic powder
  • Salt as per your taste
  • Black pepper ground as per your taste
  • 1/2 Cup Dos Alas tequila
  • Zest of 1 Lime
  • 1/3 Cup of Lime Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of brown sugar
  Instructions to Make Tequila Lime Chicken Wings
  • Pour water into the pressure cooker, and put a trivet or steaming basket inside it.
  • Add the chicken wings to the pressure cooker and pressure cook them for about 10 minutes (in an electric pressure cooker)/7 minutes (in a stovetop one)
  • Then, allow the pressure cooker to cool down and release the pressure naturally for about half an hour.
  • Make the marinade when the wings are getting cooked and cooled down in the pressure cooker.
  • For that, put the zest of lime (the colored outside portion of citrus lime fruit peel in the grated form), lime juice, salt, brown sugar, and tequila in a bowl, and mix all of them properly.
  • Now, mix the rest of the dry ingredients and then add them to the marinade.
  • Once the cooker released its pressure fully, take out the cooked wings and place them on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
  • Now, brush the wings with marinade on both sides and reserve the remaining portion of the marinade.
  • Let the wings sit in the fridge for at least half an hour.
  • Bake the wings in a preheated oven at 425*F for 10 minutes. Then, turn the wings and again bake them for about 10 minutes for even cooking.
  • At the time wings are baked, cook the marinade in a small saucepan until it becomes shiny and slightly thickened.
  • Once the wings are baked and the marinade is cooked, dunk the wings in the saucepan and toss them to ensure that they are properly coated with the marinade.
  • Finally, serve tequila lime chicken wings with crunchy salad.
  In case you don’t have a pressure cooker, you can also steam the wings for around 10 to 15 minutes, increase the baking time by 10 minutes, and follow the same instructions.
